practical advice for a 2-week trip to Guadeloupe
Are your preparations for your trip to Guadeloupe complete? Do not hesitate to consult my practical advice for a truly successful stay.
Goodbye to winter gloom! The best time for me to go out in the sun is the month of March. We leave the still gloomy weather with the hope of finding spring when we return.
This is how, after Martinique a few years ago, we left for 2 weeks in Guadeloupe: The idea was, for once, not to bother too much with organizing the trip, to take advantage of summer weather in winter and to do beautiful hikes and snorkeling outings.
Objectives achieved!
This is the first question we ask ourselves when we start planning the itinerary... and we are not the only ones when we see the number of similar questions on the forums!
In my opinion, over 2 weeks, if you want to have an overview of the whole island, the easiest thing is to at least take accommodation on Grande-Terre and one on Basse-terre.
For us who are always on the move, but who want to optimize the kilometers by car, we took 4: 2 on Basse-Terre where we spent the most time, one in Les Saintes and one on Grande-Terre.
For the distribution of days between the 2 parts of the island, I would have difficulty giving you advice. It's too dependent on your interests.
Here is a very summary description to help you in your choice:
